Text Box:    Difference The difference of variety from the newness and uniqueness aspect must based on the comparative test held in the field in Indonesia. In some cases, the difference of variety might be based on comparative test report which is held in the homeland of that variety. In preparing the description based on comparative test report which is held in the home land, the different characteristic must be examined in Indonesia by using the comparative variety that is appropriate for condition in Indonesia. In making a Complete Description, the applicant has to use the information obtained from comparative test (DUS Test) or comparative test report in its homeland. This description has to be completed by the determined format (typed in Microsoft Word by Times New Roman Font, Font Size: 12) and should be submitted in printed document. The Original Report must be signed and sent to the Plant Variety Protection Office. Writing process of comparative test report must be described completely, become a comprehensive summary of the variety’s characteristic, with sufficient information about both origami and the variety cultivating process, as well as the comparative characteristics made according to this form to complete the information in this report. The applicant can attach the scientific publication and concerned information with the description from the variety applied for Plant Variety Protection Right (PVP). Complete Description Deskripsi Lengkap In making the complete description, the applicant should refer to the given guideliness, sample and format to submit that complete description to the Plant Variety Protection Office.       Comparative Table, in writing process should notice the following matters: a) In the data table of DUSS test result, the characteristics of the variety applied for PVP always be stated at the left column from the data of comparative variety characteristic. b) Arrange the characteristics chronologically. c) Make the characteristics to be chronological as follows: Tree, Trunk, Leaf, Flower Stem, Flower, Part of Flower, Fruit, Part of Fruit, Seeds, Special Characteristic, etc. d) For the measured characteristic, state: Average, Standard Deviation, Least Significant Difference (LSD)* at level P £ 0.01. f) If found the real difference, give the real difference level such as: P £0.01, or NS if there’s no difference. g) For the characteristic that is visibly different, do not use score! State by words, such as: round. h) For the ranked characteristic, state the number, do not use statistical analysis ”normal” but it’s better to use non-parametric Example 10. Table nn < characteristic > <Genus> <Species>     Notes: Attach the colourfull picture printed on the dof/glossy paper. The picture should describe clearly the characteristics of variety applied for PVP with the comparative variety. Describe briefly the subject of the picture and give clear sign between variety applied for PVP with the comparative variety.
